Embracing the Rain (Literally)

Just one day into the official season of summer and what do we get? A massive thunderstorm with tornado warnings and predictions of hail. Normally I would cringe at this weather report, but waking up to the sound of rain this morning on my first day back to reality after a weekend away was exactly what the doctor ordered. Something about a thunderstorm at 8am feels like a free ticket to spend the day in bed. My morning was slow, my work was careful (unlike my usual hustle), and my coffee was strong. I’d like to think I’m alright at embracing life’s rainstorms and tough times…”dancing” in them and learning from them. Sometimes I forget to embrace literal rain and the peacefulness it can bring to an otherwise hectic Monday.
