Hi.

Welcome to my blog. This is where I document my adventures as a 20-something. Hope you enjoy!

This past week my parents were in town to enjoy southwest Florida's sunshine and help me Tetris some of my belongings into their SUV to get back to the midwest. While they were here I was reminded how heavily our vacations revolve around food. The 'when' and 'where' we're going to eat equally as important as the 'what' and we had 6 days to hit up some of my favorite spots for dinner and try new ones.

Among some of my go-to restaurants are Brook's Burgers and Tacos and Tequila, both self explanatory in their names, affordable prices, and worth any wait (I love T&T's for good happy hour margs and Brook's for an All-American, classic cheeseburger). Places that were new to me last week were Turtle Club, Doc Ford's, and Tin City, all of which had coveted waterside dining and satisfying seafood dishes.

I loved taking these pics at another Naples gem I stumbled across a few weeks ago. Sandy and I popped in Regina's on 5th for a root beer float and our own mini dance party to Chubby Checker. I think my generation sometimes forgets that it's not always the newest, trendiest places that have the best meals and atmosphere, but often times the retro, forgotten about ones that provide the most memorable dining experiences.
